Yes. EpicMailExtractor is fully responsive and works on smartphones and tablets, though a desktop browser provides the best experience for large lists.
For each unique domain in your email list, we query DNS MX (Mail Exchange) records. These records tell us which mail server handles email for that domain, revealing the actual email provider even for custom business domains.
Domains using Microsoft 365 point their MX records to mail.protection.outlook.com. We match this pattern to classify the email as Office365. This catches all Microsoft 365 tenants — even those using completely custom domain names like acmecorp.com.
Google Workspace domains use MX records pointing to aspmx.l.google.com (and alt1–alt4 variants). Any domain resolving to these servers is classified as G Suite/Workspace.
An email is classified as Bad/Dead when its domain has no DNS records, no MX record, and no A record — meaning the domain either doesn't exist, has expired, or is completely invalid.
Yes. Toggle off the "DNS Verification" option in the sidebar to use fast local classification based on built-in domain databases. This is much faster but cannot detect corporate domains using Office365 or G Suite.
If a DNS lookup times out or fails to return MX records during a heavy session, the domain may fall through to Business classification. Try re-processing those emails with DNS enabled.
